SALT

ANALYSIS

This poem is all about living our life to the fullest. Fullest in the sense that when we search for the meaning of life, we should never expect that all it gives is purely happiness and satisfaction. Not knowing that the opposite of happiness is sadness. Life can never be worth living without pains and sorrows. Happiness can never be felt without having experienced hardships and failures. It must be associated always with heartaches and disappointments, and if your life has already felt all these agonies in life that’s when you will feel the true meaning of life.

Salt is itself an ingredient that makes one’s life meaningful and meaningless depending on how you  would actually make it happen. Sadness and loneliness may come your way , but if you will take them as challenges and opportunities then life would be as meaningful as it seems to be. And  life would be worth living for.

In the picture above, I draw a human with a tear and a happy face toward it. I draw this to tell that there is no happiness without loneliness. That pain and sorrows are part of life. We always have ups and downs in our life. The downfall in our life helps us become stronger and to be better. Life can never be worth living without pains and sorrows. Happiness can never be felt without having experienced hardships and failures. It must always be associated with heartaches and disappointments. Just like the picture above before we achieve happiness we come through a lot of pains and sorrows. and that pain and sorrows will make us better person.

NOT ALL POEMS SING ANALYSIS Oftentimes we come across or encounter poems that we feel are not worth reading because each line of the poem uses figurative language which is very difficult to understand and if we don’t have the knowledge of what figurative language is we tend to ignore and skip that kind of poem. Much more, poems that are not rhymed and somehow just give us that headache of analyzing what it meant to be, is actually giving us a hint not to read that poem. As it seems meaningless and pointless after all. This poem is meaningless in form but it is so meaningful if the figurative language being used to manifest its meaning is clearly understandable and emphasized by the one reading this poem. It is a clear proof that only those who have mastered the usage are the only ones who could fully understand this poem. •The structure of the poem is a "FREE VERSE STRUCTURE" the reason for this is there's no rhyme scheme and no set metrical pattern. •The poem is narrati...
LESSON 3  ACTIVITY 1.1 In this activity, I interviewed one of my seniors in Sacristan, whose name is Kyle Kagatan. I interviewed him through messenger, since he is in Iligan City at the moment. 1. Why does it seem acceptable in Philippine society for husbands to have affairs with other women? •It is not acceptable in the Philippine society for husbands to have affairs with other women, however, it has quite become a norm nowadays. Many people, especially those who are famous ones (e.g. celebrities) are involved into these kinds of affairs. Due to that fact, some people tend to engage this as they believe in the thought that “if a famous individual can, then so can I”. Also, because there are some men who think and believe that the more girls/women they have, the cooler they think they are and that they are above the others.  2.Is it acceptable for women? Why or why not? What do you think or feel about this? •No, of course not. If men are not, then so as the women. Social...
